Author Guidelines
The British Journal of Translational Biochemistry (BJTB) publishes original research articles, review articles, short communications, and letters to the editor in the field of translational and clinical biochemistry.
1. General Information
  • Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Studies should demonstrate clear translational relevance.
  • All submissions are subject to peer review.
2. Language and File Format
  • Manuscripts must be written in clear English (British or American, consistently).
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point.
  • Double-spaced text with 2.5 cm margins.
  • Pages must be numbered.
3. Manuscript Structure
  • Title page
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References
4. Title Page
  • Concise title (maximum 20 words).
  • Full names of all authors.
  • Institutional affiliations (city and country).
  • Corresponding author’s email address.
5. Abstract and Keywords
  • Length: 200–250 words.
  • Structured abstract: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
  • Provide 4–6 keywords using MeSH or standard biochemical terminology.
6. Materials and Methods
  • Describe study design and methodology clearly.
  • Specify sources of reagents, instruments, and software.
  • Include statistical methods and significance levels.
  • Ethics approval must be stated where applicable.
7. Results and Discussion
  • Results should be presented clearly and objectively.
  • Discussion should interpret findings and compare with existing literature.
  • Limitations of the study should be addressed.
8. Tables, Figures, and References
  • Tables should be included in the manuscript with clear titles.
  • Figures must be uploaded separately (TIFF, JPEG, or PNG; ≥300 dpi).
  • References must follow Vancouver style with DOI where available.
9. Declarations
  • Conflict of interest statement.
  • Funding information or statement of no external funding.
  • Acknowledgements (optional).
